Dr Adam Senior Clinical Fellow

Originally from Ireland, Dr Adam completed medical school and foundation training in London. He then undertook Speciality Training in Emergency Medicine (mainly in Greater London) and worked as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine before starting his HEMS "adventure" with EAAA.

Dr Adam works as part of the EAAA crew to provide advanced critical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to the most seriously ill and injured people in the region by air and road.

Adam says: “Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine entails many of the core skills that I have always enjoyed most in my work as a hospital doctor. After finishing my training, I felt that it was an ideal point in my career to gain more experience and push myself beyond my comfort zone.”

With a particular interest in cardiac arrest management, brain injury and critical illness, Adam says being part of a unique and highly motivated team is very rewarding: “As well as working with my immediate colleagues, we work alongside other emergency services and our amazing pilots who work extremely hard to keep us and our patients safe.”

Outside of EAAA, Dr Adam is a keen amateur musician (mainly piano). Originally from Ireland, he also likes to take the time to travel home and enjoy inshore and coastal sailing.
